Philosophy

The core concept of the RégimA consists out of the 3 spheres of influence:

1. Anti-inflammatory 

   Inflammation is the body's response to injury. The inflammatory response that is triggered within the skin also results in the destruction and re-creation of cells. The inflammatory response within the body is responsible for the generation of pro-inflammatory eicosanoids, which result in the actual inflammation of cells, and in turn the associated reddening, swelling and pain. Anti-inflammatories are important for reducing the pro-inflammatory response, thus reducing the damage caused by inflammation.

2. Anti-oxidants 

   Oxidation within the body is responsible for cell damage and the ageing of skin as it triggers the creation of damaging molecules called free-radicals. Internally these can start a chain of chemical reactions, potentially causing damage not only to individual cells, but also DNA. Anti-oxidants are extremely important for fighting free-radical species, and preventing oxidation that can trigger this cell damage.

3. Rejuvenation 

   Rejuvenation in the context of skin is bound within the concept of skin renewal. Skin rejuvenation as a process involves not just readjustment, but the overall re-structuring of the skin, to produce perfectly formed and healthy cell development. While this initially may imply desquamation of cells giving way to the development of healthy replacement cells, there is a lot more involved in ensuring the stable, regimented development of cells that ultimately produce smoother, younger looking skin.

These are the pervasive functions that the RégimA regimens perform in order to achieve and maintain an ideal state of skin health: equilibrium by influencing these factors, and bringing one’s skin into the “zone of optimal skin health”.

The RégimA concept is the most advanced approach to skin treatment. By influencing the 3 spheres that govern the skin’s normal function (Anti-inflammatories, Anti-oxidants, Rejuvenation), the objective of the range is to bring the skin into the optimal zone and create the perfect environment to ensure prolonged skin health. These high tech active ingredients target each contributing factor, while being deployed at maximum clinically effective concentrations as seen in trials.
The result is a range of products that not only target specific conditions, but also work to bring equilibrium to the skin, enhancing overall skin health and products that change lives. RégimA takes an entirely different look at product formulation and draws a parallel to connect unsatisfied consumer needs and desires with the emerging science and technology being developed by the collective innovation of global research and development in a rapidly expanding market.

It is a fact that the 2 main causes of skin ageing and ageing diseases are ‘the silent killer’, inflammation and free radical damage. Therefore, the first basis upon which these products have been created, was the consideration of the Zone’s 3 pillars of skin treatment excellence and necessity for skin health – Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant, and Rejuvenation.
Addressing these 3 critical conditions as its first consideration, RégimA seeks to improve skin not only on a per-product, per condition basis, but provide a platform upon which all skin treatment products should be based. These 3 realms, are the most important factors for producing equilibrium within the skin, and providing a springboard from which all other skin conditions may be treated.

Taking the revolution one step further, environmental concerns were also addressed as a whole. Where possible, and as a matter of preference, raw materials from sustainable and renewable sources were utilised, always ensuring there has been no animal testing. The environmental factor is extremely important, as the cosmetics industry is shaping the landscape figuratively and literally, at an alarming rate. This concern is one of ongoing effort, and RégimA’s long-term activities see the evaluation and re-evaluation of raw materials and packaging as critical not only to the environmentally-conscious consumer, but to the health and wellbeing of us all.

By treating skin as an entire system, and not a sum of individual concerns, this allowed for the next most important consideration to be made: the address of skin conditions as multiple levels of the same system. Addressing these different levels allowed us to develop products not just for skin, but to take into account all levels of the skin system: at an organ level, a genetic level, a cellular level and a molecular level. This is of course an ambitious endeavour, however to best facilitate this, we allowed the development stage for the products to be unfettered by all other implications such as cost, development time etc.

To truly deliver a 360-degree customer experience, we must integrate marketing and development with partner and customer touchpoints on a variety of platforms geared toward generating specific insights. This is key as culture evolves to empower people to work together instead of against one another.

‘Maximum Performance’ is a term that is bandied about, but often misinterpreted. With every single product in the RégimA range, the maximum performance of an active has had only one meaning throughout; only the most efficacious dose of any active is employed, to produce maximum performance benefit. Should study results show a 5% dosage of an active is price-optimal, but a maximum benefit is observed utilising 10%, then only 10% is used, without exception. To go against this ideology and opt only for optimum results based on a price, would stand against RégimA’s greatest attribute and that is to produce the best possible result, using everything at our disposal.
